Decordia's Carbon Literacy Course for Events offers an accessible and interactive education on how festivals and outdoor events can begin, or further reduce their carbon emissions, and look after people and the planet. A carbon literacy certification will be awarded on completion of the two-day course.

This course deals with the requirements of BS7909: 2011 – The Code of Practice for the creation and operation of Temporary Electrical Systems for Entertainment and Related Purposes.

BS7909 is used in a huge range of events beyond the scope of the IEE Regulations.

The Standard outlines the necessary management arrangements and the required range of electrical supplies, heavy-duty flexible cables and portable distribution units needed.

The systems used range from very simple to highly complex and the Standard gives recommendations for all temporary electrical systems.

This four-hour training workshop will give participants an introduction to the topic of addiction and recovery.

By the end of the course learners will be able to:

• Define what addiction and recovery is.
• Understand factors that perpetuate the cycle of addiction and those that support recovery.
• Feel more confident about recognising the signs and symptoms of addiction.
• Feel more confident about starting conversations aimed at guiding an individual towards recovery.
